Needless to say, they were shot. Shop wanted $300 (!!!) just to replace them on the front. I did it for $24 and an hour of my time. What did you guys do with your cars this weekend?

Nicely done! I managed to get the bumper installed on my Camaro which was a lot more work than it sounds like. My car is a ‘71 but it looks like somebody in its past replaced the nose with one from a ‘73 which is no big deal but the bumper brackets and bumpers are different. Since I had already installed the ‘71 style brackets this meant cutting on the bumper brace and then massaging the fit of the brackets. I also got the turn signals installed. The installation of the bumper means that the car’s exterior is complete. Next up, the interior! Pray for me.

I worked and watched other people enjoy their cars. At least I was working at home.

Yeah, ‘Buru’s are so easy to work on. Well, except for spark plugs.

That sounds like a hell of a lot more work than I had! Haha

Got any pics of your Camaro? I can’t recall what it looks like off the top of my head.

Nah, it’s still pretty rough as it started as a field-find basket case. With the junkyard fenders and such it’s got four colors going on the exterior (five if you count rust as a color) and the interior is bare metal. It does run now, though, so hopefully it will be road-worthy soon and then I can start on fixing the rust and getting it ready for paint.

Ya it’s relatively easy to work on. No complaints so far! I’ve swapped the front axles, end links and a few other things here and with ease. Haven’t had to do plugs yet but will be doing so in a month or two. Should be interesting from what I’ve heard and read haha

I got Janet, with small hands, to help. Helps.

Got mine back after a week of punishment because I got a speeding ticket.. :|

Next weekend I’m ordering new exterior door trim though since my drivers door trim has decided it doesn’t need to be on the car anymore.
